Melina founded Peer Agency in 2017. In 2020 she moved on and is currently back at university, but we just had to include her!

Zoe has been accompanying Kim since 2018 and makes sure the headquarters are sufficiently secured. Great at manipulating the innocent for treats.

Peer Agency is an artist management, production, and consulting agency. It was founded in 2017 by Melina Rathjen and taken over by Kim Wagenaar in 2020, who got Bob Schellens on board in 2021. Peer Agency values personal collaboration and is here to help artists & creatives develop and elevate their career in a healthy and sustainable way, nationally and internationally.

Before Melina Rathjen got into artist management, she worked for many international music festivals and organizations, and gained a lot of insight in the industry. Starting Peer Agency, she wanted to support musicians and help them find their place in the complex industry. In 2020 she decided to go back to University and welcomed Kim Wagenaar, who she met in 2017 during Iceland Airwaves, to keep the organization alive.

Kim Wagenaar studied Arts & Economics Music Management, at the university of the Arts in Utrecht (2013), and moved to Iceland in 2017. Since she started her studies in 2008, she has gained experience in many places and has taken on many roles. She’s often described as a ‘spider in the web’, building bridges between worlds and establishing valuable collaborations. She expanded Peer Agency by adding production services and by branching out to her homecountry, The Netherlands, with help of Bob Schellens.

Bob Schellens joined Peer Agency in 2021, and has been spending his time between the Netherlands and Iceland. Having been in the industry for many years, he’s proven to be the perfect addition to the team as they merge their expertises and activities to cover more ground. Together they look forward to strengthening the bond between Iceland, the Netherlands, and mainland Europe.

Kim Wagenaar is powered by Keychange - an international campaign led by Reeperbahn Festival, PRS Foundation and Musikcentrum Öst, supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, in partnership with Tallinn Music Week, Iceland Airwaves, BIME, Oslo World, Linecheck, Ireland Music Week, SACEM, Liverpool Sound City, Way Out West, Different Sounds, MAMA, Mutek and Breakout West.
