Nice to meet you!

Peer Agency is an artist management, production, and consulting agency founded by Melina Rathjen in 2017 and taken over in 2020 by Kim Wagenaar. Peer Agency is here to help artists develop their career in a healthy and sustainable way, to understand the industry better, but also to help with building networks and communities.

Before starting to get into artist management, Melina was working for many years for several music festivals (Iceland Airwaves, Sónar Reykjavík/Copenhagen, Secret Solstice, Bedroom Community's Breiðholt Festival), became one of the organisers of Melodica Reykjavík Festival and started arranging regular concerts in secret spaces with Sofar Sounds Reykjavík. During this time, she was able to get many insights and contacts in the music industry, could experience plenty of different and creative ways of promoting music and connecting people.

In 2017 Melina shifted her profession and started working independently as an artist manager and consultant, giving musicians support to find their place in the complex world of the music industry. After some years of doing this, Melina decided to go back to university in 2020 and to ask Kim Wagenaar to join Peer Agency to keep this organisation alive and to go on giving the Peer Agency artist trustful and professional support.
