Peer Agency is an artist management and consulting agency founded by Melina Rathjen in 2017.
Before starting to get into artist management, Melina worked for many years for several music festivals (Iceland Airwaves, Sónar Reykjavík/Copenhagen, Secret Solstice, Bedroom Community's Breiðholt Festival), became one of the organisers of Melodica Reykjavík Festival and started arranging regular concerts in secret spaces with Sofar Sounds Reykjavík. During this time, Melina was able to get many insights and contacts in the music industry, could experience plenty of different and creative ways of promoting music and connecting people.
In 2017 Melina shifted her profession and started to work independently as an artist manager and consultant, giving musicians support to find their place in the complex world of the music industry. Peer Agency is meant to help artists developing their career in a healthy and sustainable way, understanding the industry better, but also to help with building networks and communities.
Melina Rathjen is powered by Keychange - an international campaign which is run by PRS Foundation and supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union in partnership with Musikcentrum Sweden, Reeperbahn Festival, Iceland Airwaves, BIME, Tallinn Music Week, Way Out West, The Great Escape and Mutek.
